Hi! I'm sort of confused as to what the relays are exactly (maybe if you post another explanation on FYDC more ppl would join) but a darren related contest sounds fun so I'm in! How does the email thing work? I don't want my email posted on tumblr, if i send it to you will it be private?
Like I’ve been saying, the details of the relays aren’t quite worked out yet (this is a very trial run) but it’ll basically be different competitions in good fun.
Your email won’t be posted anywhere. When you send it to us, I add it to my list, and we keep your message in case I screw up and delete my file or something. After everyone’s been added to their teams, all of the messages and my file will be deleted and your emails will not be distributed anywhere.

When I try to submit my email it says that I can't send links through the ask box. I've tried breaking my email down, so it doesn't look like a link, but it still won't except it?
To you and the others: try typing it in this sort of format:
teamfydc [AT] mailinator [DOT] com. That’s how I would submit our email, for example.

How do we communicate with our teammates?
Good question! There’s four blogs. Everyone will be added as a member to their respective team’s blogs. (Much like how myself, W, and SM are all members of the FYDC blog.) That’ll be your main headquarters where just about everything will happen. It’s private so that only your team can access it!

For those saying that the message won’t be accepted because the email is seen as a link:
Add spaces in your email, definitely before and after @ and any periods that may be in your email address. Just let us know what spaces are deliberate.

Are you letting people know when y'all get their email? Just wondering since I sent mine in a day or two ago and I'm afraid tumblr may have eaten the message.
We did get yours, yes. Thing is, I’m an idiot and if I delete the messages with the emails I know I will lose them somehow so I’m keeping them in the message box.
I’ll announce when we reach 40, and I’ll announce when I send out the invites, so that people can check their emails, and if you get an email from Tumblr, you’re in.
It’s like Pottermore, only a lot less nervewracking.

We were hoping to kick them off right when FYDC reaches 10,000 but I don’t know how well that will work if we don’t get enough people.
-M
I'm not really a fantastic artist, am I screwed if I sign up?
No, of course not! There’ll be a lot of different things and it’ll be about teamwork and you won’t necessarily be judged on skill and all that good stuff.
-M
I made a post earlier saying that we had nine people and needed thirty-nine more.
Uh, how do you math?
-M
We have more followers than the amount of participants we need.
How does that even work?!
